Deep in the group’s roots has been always been a dedication to bring exciting and new fresh produce to homes across the nation by combining traditional farming with modern technology. It is more than just a grower; it looks after the whole process for its customers, from young plant production to merchandising to new product development.
It has been recognised by the industry, with Neame Lea most recently winning Overall UK Grower of the Year at the Grower of the Year Awards 2017, leading to rapid sales growth with customers such as Asda and Tesco. Bridge Farm Group were awarded the prestigious FPC Supermarket Floral and Plant Supplier of the Year 2019. Again in 2019, at the Horticulture Week Business Awards we won Protected Ornamentals Grower of the Year, along with High-Growth Business of the Year .
In 2017, The group received investment from HSBC and private equity investor NorthEdge Capital to construct a 75-acre production facility that will feature a range of automated handling systems to improve efficiency and enable the business to handle a greater number of orders as part of its continued expansion plans. It will also mean that the group will remain the lowest cost producer in the industry. The first phase of the development is now complete with Phase II due April 2020 and a further phase in 2021.
